Newton Carnival - now celebrating 12 years of community activities
 
Newton Carnival Team was formed in 1999 with an aim of seeing the revival of the traditional Carnival last hosted by the village in the 1950's.

On the 7th January 1999 a group of friends joined by a representative from Bolsover Community Voluntary Services formed a constituted group with the aim of staging a carnival.

As a community group we continue to work along side other groups to make Newton and the surrounding parish a better place to live and grow.
